If you truly aren’t convinced or if you are just curious, then read on to find out what makes this one of the greatest holiday destinations on the planet.

See and experience the homes of your dreams

The area surrounding the beaches tend to be amazing, especially with many of them being the summer homes of many celebrities. Everyone should aspire to live in such an amazing home, but just because you can’t do that right now, it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the life of the Hamptons locals. Check out some of the Hamptons house rentals on offer and live like an absolute king on your holiday. There’s nothing better than enjoying your amazing pad with your friends (and the new friends you meet at the beach or in the bars). Enjoy amazing food, chill by the pool, and perhaps enjoy too many drinks and get ready to hit the town. If you need something to do, there’s just so much on offer.

Even just walking around the neighbourhood is fascinating. The houses are big and beautiful, as well as the neighbours themselves. If the Hamptons are good enough for them, then they are definitely good enough for you.

Enjoy the beaches

The beaches of the Hamptons have become world famous for their beauty and white sands. The beaches of the Hamptons are the best place to shed all those unnecessary clothes and show that summer body off that you have been working so hard for. Coopers Beach is one great example of a place to do this and has been voted as on of the most beautiful beaches in all of America. It’s also a great place to relax, meet some new people that you can invite out for the night (hopefully some beautiful girls) or simply enjoy the sights of some stunning natural beauty. Swimming here is ideal and there is always a lifeguard on duty. The parking fee is high for the beach, but it definitely is worth the money and after all, you are worth it.

Riding a bike to the beach is the ideal alternative, so rent yourself the most stylish bike you can get and ride over to the beach. There is no feeling greater in summer than riding your bike to the beach and back. At the end of the day, you can retire to your amazing palace and get ready for the evening ahead.

Visit Jackson Pollock’s home

The Hamptons is oozing with culture and Pollock-Krasner House is the ideal place to get up close and personal with the art of Jackson Pollock and see exactly where all the magic happened. Pollock has become one of the most famous American artists and seeing his masterpieces and where he worked is an interesting insight that you don’t often get to see. Especially because the house has been kept as Pollock and his wife, Lee Krasner, did during their lives in the house. The studio is a barn and is separate from the house itself. Here you can see marks of Pollock and Krasner’s work.

Try a delicious lobster roll

In this part of the world seafood is king and is a must try in the Hamptons. Lobster rolls in particular mark the beginning of the summer and you should pick one up at the first chance that you get. There is no meat more delicious than lobster and it is even better in a delicious roll with butter. The simple things in life truly are the best things and enjoying this simple but amazingly tasty treat in the sunshine is something you and your friends won’t soon forget!

Enjoy a local brew in Montauk

Montauk Brewing Company is the place to go to get a great beer (or two) and enjoy the summer sun. There’s great atmosphere, some great picnic tables for the summer months and last but not least delicious beer. The place is always teeming with people in the warmer months and you are very  The seven different types of beer will sure to appeal to anyone and the best is definitely the Summer ale or the Watermelon session ale for the warm summer months. Don’t be afraid to go up to that cute girl you have been eyeing off and offer to buy her a drink. She will appreciate it and it’s a great way to make some new friends.

Drink where the stars did: Baron’s Cove

One of the most interesting things about the Hamptons is that it has been a haunt for the stars for a very long time. During the 1960s the Baron’s Cove was even a regular hangout spot for stars like Art Garfunkel, Paul Newman and many others. Here’s your chance to feel like a music superstar or movie star. Sit out on the terrace and have a drink whilst enjoying the setting sun on the harbour. Grab one of the signature cocktails and do as the stars once did and still do. The Water Under the Bridge has become something of a favourite, but if you want to go classic and classy then you can never go past the good old Aperol Spritz.

Visit the LongHouse Reserve

The LongHouse Reserve was founded by Jack Lenor Larsen and is a surreal place that celebrates art in a number of different forms. The sculpture garden is the cornerstone of the reserve, especially with art installations from the likes of Yoko Ono and Willem De Kooning. The sculptures are amazing themselves, particularly the geometric Fly’s Eye Dome, or the giant chess set (called Play It by Trust) by Yoko Ono. The sculptures are, however, only half of the attractions, as the huge variety of plants and trees present a perfect backdrop for the sculptural masterpieces. It’s definitely a great place to head with some friends, or even to take a date for a nice day activity before a great night out.

The LongHouse is also home to a number of interesting events, such as family days, horticultural walks and various art exhibitions.

Shop in East Hampton

East Hampton is the place to head for a great shopping experience. There are a number of great little boutiques to visit and explore, such as Mecox Gardens. Here you can find amazing home decoration, furniture and art. Here you can pick up something truly unique, so don’t be afraid to drop a bit of cash and get something that will make you remember this incredible experience forever.

You might even see the stars and other beautiful people roaming around too, in fact it’s quite likely. Even the larger chains understand how important the boutique feel is to East Hampton and many offer a smaller and more intimate shopping experience than you would find in a big city. There are so many great shops, you just have to go looking for them!

Enjoy the thrill of a yacht

Every guy I have ever met has a fascination with water, there’s just something about it that appeals to our inner manliness. We have already talked a lot about the beautiful beaches that you can find in the Hamptons, but staying on land isn’t everything. Chartering a yacht with some friends is one of the best ways to enjoy to enjoy some of the most beautiful coastline in the entire country. Sag Harbor is one of the best destinations to take a yacht out. You can enjoy the sites from the yacht or get up close and personal with the surrounding islands. Shelter Island is a great place to visit. Here you can also see Mashomack Preserve, with it’s interesting marshes, forests and creeks. If you are looking for a great place to grab a great craft beer, don’t forget to visit the Shelter Island Craft Brewery for some fun in the sun.
